Geological Survey (USGS), studied the mineral resources of the Black Rock Wilderness Study Area (WSA), Graham County, Arizona on lands administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Bureau personnel conducted surveys of mineral occurrences to evaluate reserves and identified subeconomic resources. Montana is home to many of the country's remarkable Wilderness areas, including the Anaconda-Pintler, Bob Marshall, Cabinet Mountains, Gates of the Mountains, and Great Bear Wilderness areas, which were among the first in the U.S. to be designated.

Montana Republican U.S. Sen. Steve Daines has introduced a bill to eliminate wilderness study area designations on nearly , acres of federal lands in the state, a move he said. The Big Blackfoot District is a silver, lead, and gold mine located in Powell county, Montana and gold mine located in Powell county, Montana. Premium members have access to Google dynamic maps. All mine locations were obtained from the USGS Mineral Resources Data System. The locations and other information in this database have not.

Montana’s Natural Streambed and Land Preservation Act, also known as the Law, is a state law which requires that any person planning to work in or near a year-round (perennial) stream or river on private or public land must first obtain a Permit from the local conservation district. From primitive hunting locations to remote fishing spots, wilderness and Wilderness Study Areas provide unparalleled opportunities for spending time outdoors. This paper reports on the Soda Mountain Wilderness Study Area which has no identified mineral resources but does have moderate mineral resource potential for gold and silver.

The area also has low resource potential for geothermal, oil and gas, placer gold, and building stone. The series Studies related to wilderness--Bureau of Land Management wilderness study areas represents a set of related resources, especially of a specified kind, found in Brigham Young University.
